Raccoons

Raccoons are a nuisance animal that are frequently found living in areas such as , sheds, attics and soffits of homes. They may be seen eating out of trash cans and dumpsters.

Damage caused by there animals can range from minor repairs of a soffit to major roof and AC repairs. (photos below)

Diseases

Raccoons can spread many different diseases and parasites. These can be transmitted through a bite or ingestion of dropping particles.

Some that can affect humans and pets are leptospirosis, salmonella, roundworm (Baylisascaris procyonis) and rabies.

Here are a few photos of raccoon droppings found in attics.

Exclusion

Exclusion is the most humane and effective way to remove raccoons from your home. Exclusion consists of finding the access point(s) of the animal and sealing it off with a one way tunnel that will allow the animal to escape but not return. In cases where exclusion cannot be done we will trap the area and permanently seal off the access point to the structure. See photos below of exclusion.
